Car history: |
Seven Hills Motorcars is glad to offer this very original numbers matching 1968 Corvette Convertible equipped with the L79 327ci 350hp engine and 4-Speed manual. The car does run and drive, but will need some work. This Corvette has a ton of potential and is a worthy project as it is a desirable and collectible model being a convertible with the high horsepower small block. This Corvette is Numbers Matching with the last six digits of the VIN stamped on the engine pad, which is pictured below, and the engine is original to the car. The transmission is also original with the last six digits of the VIN stamped on the main case and pictured below. This is the least expensive numbers matching L79 Corvette convertible on the market. We have this car priced to sell and are offering an excellent opportunity to own a very desirable Corvette at an unbeatable value. Please note when checking the numbers that not only do the correct stampings and casting numbers appear on the parts, but all of the dates are also chronologically correct. This means that all of the parts were made and assembled in the correct order. For example, all of the dates for the individual engine components and the engine casting date should obviously precede the assembly date of the engine because the parts had to be produced before they could be assembled. All of the parts I checked follow this rule and are dated correctly. BiN $19,900. July, 2016. |
